The Squirrel Pub

The Squirrel is a family run pub and restaurant set in the quiet village of Penn Street. We pride ourselves on offering a friendly, welcoming atmosphere, and good food.

As an English Village Pub you can expect flagstone floors, a real log fire, good beers and a warm welcome! You can relax and enjoy a beer and take advantage of our extensive menu, offering traditional pub food. You might like to try one of our famous homemade "Squirrel Burgers! For the Children, we offer what is arguably the best childrens menu in the area. There is lots to choose from, or perhaps let them decide with our popular "make your own meal" choices!

Our large enclosed garden is now very well known among local families for being the best family pub garden in the area. We have excellent play equipment for the children to enjoy, allowing the parents a well earned rest! If you enjoy cricket, why not kick back with a beer on our front lawn and watch our pub team play on the pitch opposite.

Every other Friday night has become a fantastic evening with Live Acoustic Music which suits many tastes - come along with your friends for what is a great night out! For a relaxing evening out try our Pub Quiz Nights which are held once a month in the winter. There is always something being planned - such as 3 day Beer Fests, Easter Activity Days for the family, and plenty more!

We also have the perfect venue using either the pub, our large marquee, or both creating a great space to hold private functions, parties, summer BBQ's, and even weddings.
